The City Clerk's Office issues Peddler / Solicitor / Temporary Sales Vendor's permits per Cookeville Municipal Code Title 9, Chapter 2, Section 9-201 through Section 9-213. The requirements are:
A copy of the completed Temporary Sales Permit Application and all the additional requirements must be returned to the City of Cookeville Tax Department and approved by the City Clerk before a permit is issued. Non-Profit Organizations/Benefits for Putnam County residents, who solicit donations are required to have a permit free of cost. The application must be completed and returned to the City of Cookeville Tax Department for approval.
