The City of Cookeville takes pride in its residential, commercial, and industrial areas. We work hard to promote a clean, safe living environment by enforcing a set of rules, or codes, which support the health, welfare, and safety of our community.
Codes, such as the 2006 International Building, Residential, Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Codes, enable us to enforce these standards regulating land use and property maintenance. A complete list of the codes adopted and enforced by the City of Cookeville is available at our office.
If you have a question about these codes, or about a possible violation of them, please refer to the Who To Call section. We will be happy to investigate your concerns or answer any questions you may have.
