The City of Cookeville Customer Service/Billing Department is responsible for connection, disconnection and billing for utility services offered by the city. City owned utilities include electric, water, sewer and natural gas. We can normally provide same day service if you come to the Municipal Building, 45 East Broad Street, before 4:30 pm on the day service is requested. We also accept requests via facsimile by sending a copy of two valid forms of identification. You must also include the address for which service is desired, the type services required and a phone number where you may be reached in case of questions. Fax requests may be sent to 931-526-8136. A copy of your lease is required from any person renting property. (The only exception to fax requests is for temporary service due to construction.)
