THE CAST:

Mary Boring  (Hazel Ruby) is excited to appear in her second Drama Center Backstage production. She has previously appeared in the local productions of DCBS Parallel Lives and CCT’s Lil’ Abner.  Thanks Dave for giving me the chance to meet Hazel, and to grow to love her.  “What a cast!  You guys are the best!  What a privilege to work with all of you.   And our crew rocks!  And to my original rock n’ roller, love ya Philip.”

 

Nights at the Round Table is Bryan Bole’s (Harry) second DCBS show.  He portrayed Curly in last season’s Catfish Moon.  A native of Celina, Bryan now resides in Overton County with his wife and two children.  He has worked for the past two years as the Quality Assurance Coordinator at the Upper Cumberland Development District.  A big thanks to the cast, crew, and Dave for all the support and encouragement.  He would also like to give a special thank you to his wife Tonya, his biggest fan, who he has not seen since rehearsals started.

Beth Thompson (Diane) is thrilled to finally be cast in a role that showcases her demure, southern self.  This is Beth’s seventh DCBS play and she is really beginning to get used to all you people sitting so close!  She would like to send all her love to Brian, and especially Lain, because he’s four and wants to see his name in the program.

 

Randy Randle (Governor) resides in the metropolis of Livingston , where his faithful supporters include his wife, Katie, and son, Chris.  He does not let politics get in the way of his normal day job as an Optometrist with Eye Centers of Tennessee .  Randy is a military veteran with 10 years active duty service and 11 years Air National Guard time.  He has been seen on stage campaigning in such productions as 12 Angry Men, Inspecting Carol, Bartleby the Scrivener, and Harvey.  Randy is a Christian man who gives thanks to God everyday for just being alive, and sends special thanks to the cast, crew, and Dave for picking him up and putting him on a pedestal.

My name is Mary Elizabeth Ruth Craighead.  My character’s name is Sarah, an 8 year old girl.  I have also been in Babes in Toyland, To Kill a Mockingbird, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, and The Little Mermaid.  My Dad & Mom’s names are Ann and Tony.  I have one older brother, Zac.

 

 

Although Tyler Cole (John Rose) has done several, this is only the third play he has done in Cookeville .  Tyler  Since the medication isn’t working, Tyler ’s therapist feels acting is a constructive way for him to deal with his schizophrenia.  Tyler, Charlie, Jim, and Beau would like to thank and acknowledge his family at the Thomas House, and Brother Dave for casting him.  Tyler sees whole multicolored galaxies. hopes to come back for many more.

 

Marcia Lee Lorance (A Nice Single Girl) is making her first appearance in the Drama Center Backstage series.  Previously appearing in The Vagina Monologues  Marcia Lee teaches at Vol State in Livingston in the English department, and can be heard evenings on 94.7 The Country Giant, and midday on 107.3 KISS FM in McMinnville. as a former tax attorney turned lesbian-female dominatrix, she regrets that the “Nice Single Girl” doesn’t have the opportunity to moan on stage; but the night is young.

Bob Anspach (Policeman, Regular) was last seen on stage in Talk Radio in the Backstage series.  He has been in various performances since 1991.  He is happy to finally work with Dave.  “We’ve talked about being in something together over the years, and now, here we are!  Good to work with you, Dave, it’s been fun!”

 

 

Mindy Oxenford (Regular) is appearing on stage for the first time in Cookeville .  Past credits include Grandpa Hangs the Holly, and A Christmas Carol.  A native of the North, Mindy is enjoying all that Tennessee has to offer—warmer weather, several lakes, and Dollywood!  She is currently a physical therapist at Sports Medicine Physical Therapy and is glad to be back onstage.

 

Sharon Hartman (Regular) is both an employee and a business student at TTU and hopes to graduate before she reaches retirement age.  This is her first appearance on a Cookeville stage.  She would like to thank Bill for the introduction, Dave for the opportunity, and the Regulars for their support and guidance.  Her inspiration is Logan, the real actor in the family.  Watch for him in Annie at Avery Trace this November.
