Summer Camp

Day Camp

Come join us for the summer! A schedule of planned activities will be distributed for the summer.  Daily and weekly themes will be utilized to enhance the schedule of projects and activities.  We will also have field trips that will be scheduled throughout the summer. 

Wacky wake-up?  Tadpoles and Frogs?  The Imagination Station?  If you wanna know what these things are, check out our summer camps!

Ages:  Completed kindergarten to 12 years old
Dates:  May 29th - July 25th, 2008 (Closed for Memorial Day & Fourth of July)
Time:  6:30am - 5:30pm; Mon-Fri
Location:  Cane Creek Recreation Center, 180 C.C. Camp Road, Cookeville, TN
Cost:   There is a one-time registration fee of $15 per camper.  It is $70 per week for a full-time camper.  A camper is considered full-time if they attend four to five days a week of camp.  For families with multiple children, there is a $5 sibling discount per child.  This applies to the full-time rate only.  It is $20 per day for part-time.  Part-time is attending three days or less a week.  Payments are due prior to the child's attendance at camp.

Food & Supplies:  Everyday each camper should bring a lunch including a beverage.  A morning and afternoon snack will be provided.  Campers should also bring sunscreen and a water bottle labeled with camper's name for daily use.
To Register:  Call Leisure Services at 526-7393 or 520-4FUN or come by the Administrative office located in City Hall or the Cane Creek Recreation Center.  At the time of registration you will need to pay the registration fee and payment for the 1st week of camp your child will be attending.

 

These camps are designed to target one main theme for the week of the camp.  Full Payment is due upon registration.  Sibling discounts are only available for the summer day camp program above.  Payment plans are available if registering for more than one specialty camp.  Please bring a lunch and drink each day.  Call 526-7393 for more information or to register.

 

Sports-n-Sorts

Dates:  June 2-6 Hours:  9am-12pm, M-F Ages:  7-12 yrs Cost:  $65, $15 extended care Basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball are just a few of the sports campers will play this week.  Sports-n-sorts camp will help campers build on their basic knowledge of sports and learn techniques and skills that will help them both on and off the court or field.

 

 

"Itty Bitty" Sports-n-Sorts

Dates:  June 9-13 Hours:  9am-12pm, M-F Ages:  3-6 yrs Cost:  $65, $15 extended care Campers will be taught various skills for basic sports play.  They will be learning to dribble a basketball, swing a bat, and much more!  They will also learn how to play with the other campers and build teamwork.

 

 

Divas and Dudes

Dates:  June 16-20 Hours:  Divas- 9am-12pm, M-THR Dudes- 1-4pm, M-THR Both- 9am-4pm, F Ages:  8-12 yrs Cost:  $70, $15 extended care Divas:  Do you love slumber parties, fashion shows, and shopping?  Then come to this camp to have fun making awesome accessories, have manicures and pedicures, and listening to dance music! Dudes:  Why should the divas have all the fun?  This week the dudes are getting their chance.  Video game tournaments, sports and cars are just a few of the things in store for this fun-filled week. Note:  There will be a joint trip to West Towne Mall on Friday so the divas can shop and the dudes can visit the arcade!!

 

 

Chef Boy Are We

Dates:  June 23-27 Hours:  9am-12pm, M-F Ages:  7-12 yrs Cost:  $70, $15 extended care Move over Emeril!  Step aside Rachael Ray!  This week campers will be learning to cook like a PRO!  The kids will get to try out their own creative recipes while they master their skills in the kitchen.  We will be experimenting with all kinds of appetizers, entrees, and best of all...desserts!

 

 

Animal Mania

Dates:  July 7-11 Hours:  9am-4pm, M-F Ages:  7-12 yrs Cost:  $85 It's time to get crazy about animals!  During this week children will experience all types of animal encounters.  From horseback riding to a trip to the zoo, the week is full of cuddly creatures!  Plus, campers will have a chance to show off their own pets during the Pet Parade!  This week is just what any animal lover needs!
