Summer Camp 2013
Leisure Services offers two summer camp programs that are a unique, innovative and recreational alternative to daycare.  Day Camp runs the entire length of the Putnam County Schools summer break while Specialty Camps are only one week long.  Both camp programs educate kids on a variety of positive, socially appropriate leisure pursuits.  Our counselors lead a number of summer activities that are second to none.  Campers will have the opportunity to identify their recreational interests and to HAVE FUN!  We believe decision making, independence and a sense of personal identity and community are essential to their success as adults.  We hope to encourage each child’s talents and celebrate their uniqueness.  Whether joining our Day Camps, Specialty Camps or both, your child is sure to have one of the best summers of their lives!
Ages: Completed kindergarten to 12 years old
Dates: May 28th - July 24th    
Time: 6:30am - 5:30pm; Monday-Friday
Location: Cane Creek Recreation Center, 180 C.C. Camp Road, Cookeville, TN
Cost: There is a one-time registration fee of $15 per camper.  It is $70 per week for a full-time camper.  A camper is considered full-time if they attend four to five days a week of camp.  For families with multiple children, there is a $5 sibling discount per child.  This applies to the full-time rate only.  It is $20 per day for part-time.  Part-time is attending three days or less a week.  Payments are due prior to the child's attendance at camp.

Food & Supplies: Each camper will have the option to bring a lunch from home, purchase a lunch from the concession stand or receive a free lunch provided by the Putnam County Child Nutrition Summer Feeding Program.  A morning breakfast/snack will be served at 8:30am each morning and an afternoon snack will be provided.  Campers should also bring sunscreen and a water bottle labeled with camper's name for daily use.  No soft drinks please!

To Register: Call Leisure Services at 526.7393 or 520.4FUN or come by the Administrative office located in City Hall or the Cane Creek Recreation Center.  At the time of registration you will need to pay the registration fee and payment for the 1st week of camp your child will be attending.
SPECIALTY CAMPS
These camps are designed to target one main theme for the week of the camp.  Full Payment is due upon registration. Sibling discounts are only available for summer day camp.  Payment plans are available if registering for more than one camp.  Please bring a lunch and drink each day.  Space is limited, so reserve your child's spot today by calling 526.7393!
Chef Boy R We
Dates:  June 10th- June 14th

Move over Emeril! Step aside Rachel Ray! This week campers will be learning to cook like a PRO! The kids will be learning how to make quick and easy snacks, visit with a professional chef, take a tour of a real functioning kitchen and much more!
Nature ROCKS!
Dates:  June 17th-21th
Ages: 8-12 yrs old
Days & Times:  9am-5pm, M-F
Cost:  $90.00
Don't spend your summer with cabin fever! Come out and join us for Nature ROCKS! In this camp, we will be taking time to enjoy the outdoors!  Caves, waterfalls and hikes are just a few of the things campers will do this week.  So get your backpack and let's explore all Mother Nature has to offer.


Animal Mania
Dates:  June 24th-28th
Ages:  7-12 yrs old
Days & Times:  9am-5pm, M-F
Cost:  $90.00
It's time to get crazy about animals! During this week, children will experience all types of animal encounters! From horseback riding to a trip to the zoo, the week is full of cuddly creatures! This week is just what any animal lover needs!
Water Dogs
Dates:  July 8th - 12th
Ages:  8-12 yrs old
Days & Times:  9am-5pm, M-F

Who let the dogs out? Leisure Services! We don’t mean real dogs-we mean WATER DOGS! If you love swimming and fun in the sun, then join us this week for water adventures.  From water parks to water balloons, this will be a wet-n-wild week!
