Cookeville History Museum

The mission of the Cookeville History Museum is to provide exhibits, programs and activities that promote the history of Cookeville and Putnam County. The museum houses a self-paced, permanent exhibit on the history of this community, including a timeline around the building that begins with the first people to the area and ends with what is happening today. The front gallery is dedicated to local history exhibits, traveling exhibits and collection displays. Visit the Cookeville History Museum and let us share our story with you. For more information, call 520.5455 or visit CookevilleHistoryMuseum.com

History Hikes

Beginning April 12, the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. will be a HISTORY HIKE between the Cookeville Depot Museum and the Cookeville History Museum! Pick up your entry (and enjoy some cookies) at either museum, find the answers to the trivia questions along Broad Street between the two museums and have the form back by 3:30 p.m. to be included in the prize drawing! If you like, you can do both hikes (Depot to the History Museum and/or History Museum to the Depot) each day.
