Upcoming Events...
"A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUMS"
On Saturday September 26, 2009 the Cookeville Museums—the Depot and the History Museums- will be hosting “A Night at the Museums.”  Similar to the Ben Stiller movie, “A Night at the Museum,” the two city owned museums will come to life!  The event will start at the Cookeville History Museum where
costumed performers will
bring events and people out of Cookeville’s history to life.  As the evening progresses, the audience will walk down East Broad Street where they can speak with strolling former Cookevillians who will be discussing what Cookeville was like 100 years ago, especially on the West Side of town.  When the audience reaches the Depot Museum, it will also come to life with former railroad employees and citizens discussing events at the Depot over the last 100 years.  This event is a continuation of the Depot Centennial Celebration that was kicked off by the Centennial parade in June.  There is no admission price per sae; however, contributions will certainly be appreciated!  There will be a donation box at the History Museum for those interested in participating.  “A Night at the Museums” will begin at 6:30pm.  Hope to see you there!
