Building Permits for Fences and Walls Required

As of May 1st, a permit is now required to install a fence or wall on a property within the city limits of Cookeville. The City Council adopted the fence and wall regulations, Ordinance Number O09-03-02, as part of the Supplemental District Regulations Section 204 of the Official Zoning Code of the City of Cookeville. The cost for a permit is $25 dollars. The new requirements adopted by the Council may be viewed on this website either separately as Ordinance O09-03-02 or as part of the Cookeville Zoning Code.
