An application must be filed with the Planning Department. The rezoning of property must be reviewed by the Cookeville Planning Commission and adopted by the City Council. Contact the Planning Department at 520-5271.
What is the comprehensive Plan?
The Cookeville 2030 Plan presents goals, objectives, and policies for the future development of the city and its Urban Growth Boundary.
What is the Urban Growth Boundary?
The Urban Growth Boundary is an area outside the City Limits approved for urban development in which the city may annex. This boundary was approved as part of the Putnam County Growth Plan. For more information, please contact the Planning Department at 520-5271.
