Crime Analysis Unit
The primary responsibility of the Crime Analysis Unit is to gather specific data related to specific events and then determine relationships among that data. Monthly data concerning serious crimes is compiled and reported to supervisors and investigators. Data concerning traffic crashes is used to help locate enforcement needs and to study highway safety issues. Special data requests from citizens, local and state government departments, and other law enforcement agencies are all processed by this section.
