Property Crimes

Property crimes comprise the majority of crimes committed in our community. The type of crime included in this category are vandalism, theft, vehicle theft, burglary, and arson. Felony level property crimes are normally assigned to our Criminal Investigation Division for investigation. Detectives assigned to this section receive training in a wide range of topics to ensure their ability to properly investigate these types of crimes. Detectives have at their disposal an assortment of specialized equipment to assist in their efforts to investigate and solve property crimes. The Cookeville Police Department's goal is to investigate each case assigned in a manner that will enhance the likelihood of a successful prosecution.
