DARE

DARE is a drug and violence prevention program. Specially trained uniformed officers teach a 17-week, semester-long copyrighted curriculum. Sixth grade students at Prescott Central Middle School are the primary focus of the program. The officers also make visitations in other grades in the school system with the endeavor to build a strong rapport between the police department and the community. DARE teaches our students life skills that help them resist the peer pressure to use drugs and become involved in violence. It teaches them to make good decisions by considering the consequences of their actions.
