The Neighborhood Watch Program motivates all persons with the community to organize, get to know their neighbors, and report suspicious activity to the police. The program also encourages neighbors to address other areas of concern and to seek solutions to those problems. Neighborhood Watch cannot only be utilized as a strong tool to fight crime; it can also be a strong social organization. Neighborhood Watch is not a vigilante organization! It promotes awareness techniques and reporting crime, not physical confrontation of criminals.
